Eviction Moratorium Update with Legal Aid Society

New York’s residential eviction moratorium was extended through February 26th and can be extended to May 1st if you take the right steps. This provides a brief respite for people struggling to pay rent. However, NY legislators have yet to take action to address the growing rent backlog facing tenants at the end of the moratorium. During this training session with the Legal Aid Society, attendees will be updated on the status of the NYS eviction moratorium, what their clients/patients can do now to avoid eviction, how to file a hardship declaration, and more.
