Hosted by the Brooklyn Health & Housing Consortium, Josh Goldfein from The Legal Aid Society will lead a training on Shelter Rights on Wednesday, March 31st from 10am-12pm.
At the end of the training, participants will be able to:
– Identify the agencies involved and populations served in each NYC shelter system, along with describing eligibility and intake process for various types of shelters.
– Advocate on behalf of clients to improve shelter conditions, exit the shelter system, and access other community resources.
– Understand the changes to the various shelter systems, including shelter eligibility, as a result of COVID-19.
