Housing Marketplaces

The Consortium holds biannual Housing Marketplaces, meet-and-greet events where health home care coordinators, hospital social workers, and others can connect with housing providers in order to improve communication and facilitate more efficient and expedient referrals between the two systems. The Marketplace provides a platform to discuss outcomes and challenges in meeting client needs to further strengthen partnerships.

Participants get the chance to learn about housing resources available to their patients and clients, how to access it, and make real connections with people from the housing world. Attendees also receive a resource packet with information on all participating housing providers, their current vacancies, program eligibility, and contact information to make referrals. Each Marketplace focuses on a different population—for example, people with behavioral health needs, seniors, and justice-involved individuals. The population for each marketplace is determined based on feedback from our member organizations.
