The Legal Aid Society's HIV/AIDS Representation Project will provide information on public benefits and resources available to NYC residents living with HIV/AIDS with a focus on benefits available through HRA's HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA). The training will cover:
Basic eligibility for HASA, including expanded enrollment based on immigration status
HASA's new enrollment process
HASA benefits overview
HASA budgeting
HASA supportive housing rules and resources
Eviction related resources
Other benefits and resources for people living with HIV
The intended audience for this training is: Case/Care Manager or Coordinators, Community Health Worker/Patient Navigators, Social Worker, Housing Specialist, Program Coordinators/Managers, Program Directors, and Attorneys. Other roles are of course welcome to attend!
